About CarryOnChecker
CarryOnChecker is an independent travel-planning utility that compares measurements you provide with baggage limits stored from airline-published policies. The site is intended to make airline baggage information easier to understand and compare before travel.
Informational tool — no guarantee of airline acceptance
CarryOnChecker provides general travel information and computational guidance. A result stating that a bag is within a published size or weight limit does not guarantee that an airline will accept the bag in the cabin. The airline and its personnel retain final authority over baggage acceptance.
Actual acceptance may depend on factors including your fare, route, operating carrier, aircraft, cabin, loyalty status, airport procedures, available bin space, physical baggage sizers, weight checks, and policies in effect at the time of travel.
Airline information and policy changes
We make reasonable efforts to maintain CarryOnChecker's airline information by reviewing official airline sources and recording review dates. Airline baggage policies can change without notice, however, and a policy may change between our reviews. We therefore cannot guarantee that every stored rule will remain current at all times.
If you identify information that appears incorrect or outdated, you may report it through the site's correction link or contact us. Reports are reviewed against available airline information before the database is changed.
Your measurements and inputs
You are responsible for entering accurate bag measurements and weight. Measurements should represent the packed bag's outside dimensions and should include wheels, fixed handles, feet, exterior pockets, and other protrusions where applicable. Results produced from incomplete or inaccurate measurements may not reflect how the bag will fit in an airline's physical baggage sizer.
Bag orientation and fit calculations
When rotation is enabled, CarryOnChecker may test valid rectangular orientations of the three measurements you enter. This helps account for differences in how airlines and luggage manufacturers label length, width, height, and depth. A mathematical fit within a published dimensional envelope does not guarantee that a real bag will fit a particular physical sizer, especially when the bag is irregularly shaped, overpacked, flexible, or measured inaccurately.
Verify important requirements with your airline
Before travel, you should confirm consequential or unusual baggage requirements directly with the operating airline. This is especially important for fare-specific, cabin-specific, route-specific, aircraft-specific, connecting, codeshare, sports-equipment, medical, musical-instrument, and other special baggage rules. Official airline-policy links are provided where available to make verification easier.
Independent service and airline trademarks
CarryOnChecker is independent and is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by any airline, airport, travel agency, baggage manufacturer, or government authority unless expressly stated otherwise. Airline names, service marks, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. References to airlines are used for identification and informational purposes.
